Children’s furniture should support both everyday life and the future they grow into. That is why we design with safety and durability as the starting point — creating modular pieces that last longer, adapt easily, and stay in use across different stages of childhood.
PHASE 2018 | THE BEGINNING
Driven by my passion for ecodesign and making furniture last longer through multifunctionality and modularity, I saw an opportunity to make children’s furniture in the early years more adaptable to their rapid growth and changing needs.
During my pregnancy with my first child, I designed and built my own co-sleeper, integrating an additional function: it could be transformed into a play table and bench. What started as a personal solution became the foundation of a broader vision.
Phase 2020 | Refinement Through Experience
After several years of use and with a second child on the way, I improved my initial design based on the hands-on experience with my first prototype.
For my second child, I had a new co-sleeper produced with enhanced ergonomics, improved materials, and an additional function: it could also convert into a children's desk. The concept became stronger, more durable, and more versatile.
Phase 2024–2026 – From Concept to Market
After several years of entrepreneurship in sustainability, my vision of studio MOORE and concept PLAAY° was selected for a coaching program at Start it @KBC and support of VLAIO.
Through this trajectory I found the right partners for production, sales, and circular after-sales services. Following a final phase of testing with other families, creating extra prototypes and making sure everything meets safety and EU standards, PLAAY° is now ready to be launched on the European market, designed to grow with families and built to last.
